The agency was assigned to produce a worldwide live-streamed product reveal from the collaboration between IKEA and Virgil Abloh. My role was to mimic Virgil Abloh sketching style and illustrate a set of products from the line, which would be an essential visual part of the event promotion. I had to learn how to create a sketchy style in Illustrator because the units would mainly be digital and used in an animation which required a digital basis. Many failures later I found a way to work with my tablet in Illustrator together with a plug-in that recreated almost a real pencils touch.
I also designed and made final art of the invitations, on-set posters to be signed by Virgil Abloh, posts for Instagram Stories, mockups for client presentation, references and storyboard for the animator with optimized illustrations, type and instructions. The animation reaches over 250.000 views at writing moment at the Instagram profile ikeatoday.
